Paige + Seth | Studio Maternity Session

Prepping for your Session - What to bring to your Maternity Session

You just found out you're pregnant and whether you want to document your pregnancy announcement, gender reveal or a complete maternity session, I am so here for it! Pregnancy is such a vulnerable and special time that you will go through, your first time is even more extraordinary & something that you will always remember and want to cherish. Whether you are wanting to document your pregnancy announcement, gender reveal or a full on maternity session I have compiled a list of items that can help your maternity session be the best it can be!

  1. Sonograms - Bring an envelope with all of your sonograms. There's so much we can do with these and incorporate them into your session!

  2. One or two baby outfits - Feel free to bring any onesies or and personalized gifts that you may want photographed. Anything with your baby's name, arrival date/year - always a cute addition to the session!

  3. Any little toys or trinkets - This is perfect for flatlays. I have a letter board that I am able to personalize with your baby's name/arrival date and whatever message you want me to write and then I'll put some of the outfits and toys and trinkets around it - this is perfect if you haven't announced anything yet and want to have a cute photo of all the little things to post on your socials!

  4. Any personalized items - Do you have hats, sweatshirts or shirts that you want to wear? Yes, Please bring them all. We can always chat prior to your session about all of your ideas and what you have as well.

  5. Pets and siblings and significant others - Pets and siblings are always welcome to the session! I love capturing your growing families! It’s big moment for everyone who involved, so we won't leave anyone out!

There are a couple different options for you to think about how you want to envision your session. If we are in spring/summer/fall seasons, outdoor locations are always an option. But, as we move into those colder months we can either rent out a studio space that fits the occasion or I can come to your house and we can shoot in the comfort of your own home. Let me tell you, ALL options are so much fun!

Page and Seth embraced the studio vibe and we obtained two different outcomes from two outfits and it was magical. The neutrals mixed with the boho touches were chef’s kiss and when we changed to the casual modern vibe it was amazing. I definitely took more photos than usual during this session!

I know after having many conversations with soon to be moms, that most days you don’t feel amazing during your pregnancy journey. If I am able to capture something that makes you look back on this session and you see yourself in a beautiful light, I know that I have done my job!

I will be honored to capture these special moments during this incredible time in your life.
