Prepping for your Session - What to bring to your Engagement Session



You just booked your engagement session with me and you don’t even know where to begin or what to bring! Well, do not stress, I have got you covered! Being fully prepared for a photo session can greatly enhance the outcome of your pictures. 

When you book with me, I will send you a complete packet that includes everything you need to know. Listed below are my suggestions for items that you can bring to your session to make it memorable.

The time of year and location may affect this list, but the majority of these items will apply to any session year round.

Ring(s)! - Obviously we want to show off your gorgeous rings.

  1. Two bottles of champagne and two glasses - Having these items allows us to take photos of a champagne spray and also photos of sharing a toast together.

  2. Blanket - This is mainly for spring-fall sessions, but it gives us a cute option to do some sitting photos. A neutral blanket is best!

  3. Your Pet  - Yes, your pets are always welcome! We typically take their photos immediately or during the last 20 minutes of thesession. Feel free to bring a cute bandana or matching collar to coordinate with your outfits.

  4. Anything that is special to you and your significant other: Items like your favorite drinks, snacks or a board game can be incorporated in the session. These are just examples and we can certainly discuss other

During your engagement session we are going to tell your love story through youas a couple. The location you choose, the outfits you select and any other specific details will make your session unique to both of you!

When Ali first reached out to me about her engagement session, she informed me that she wanted vintage vibes. I was so excited and I knew the perfect location.Thus, we headed downtown for a magical session. Their second location was a rural setting, which was laid back and casual. We were able to capture their love in a fun and whimsical way. Ali brought a book she made for Dakota, they had some wine and we ran through the tall grass and finished their session with a champagne pop.
